Latitude™ Series. Along with this change, several standards and options have changed to more closely match the features and options of our wood product lines.
Latitude Series are
premium quality vinyl windows and doors. In addition to being low-maintenance and energy efficient, various options make Latitude Series windows and doors versatile and aesthetically pleasing.
The Latitude Series is an extensive product line, with casements; awnings; single and double hungs; single, double and picture sliders; radius and geometric units; as well as sliding and swinging patio doors – all to complement one another (see complete
product line-up below). Kolbe is pleased to offer these high quality vinyl windows both for new construction and renovation projects.

 When choosing windows for your project, low-maintenance vinyl is the perfect choice. Latitude Series windows & doors are constructed using specially formulated uPVC, for a lifetime of beauty and performance. Multiple chambers within the uPVC extrusions provide strength. They also create a thermal barrier for superior insulating value, and help reduce the intrusion of outside noise. Latitude Series windows and doors provide everything you want in windows and doors for your home.

Construction |
 Latitude Series products exceed many peoples' expectations of vinyl windows and doors. They are designed with traditional frame aesthetics, with attractive profiles like wood windows and doors. For instance, the sash are set back in the frame and the glass is centered within the sash. Plus, Latitude Series products have fusion-welded corners on both the sash and frame. This creates strong corner seals that can't open up, preventing air and water leaks as well as enhanced structural integrity.  The meeting rails of Latitude Series single and double hung windows, single and double sliders, and patio doors are reinforced with metal. A mechanical interlock brings the sash together securely. Double hung tilt latches are easy to operate, making cleaning an easier task. A full-height anodized aluminum gear hinge lends structural strength to the active panel of inswing patio doors. Plus, the stainless steel locking system provides corrosion resistance and security.
 Latitude Series windows are sealed on both sides of the glass, then glazed to the exterior. Color-matched, dual weatherstripping is strategically placed to enhance the insulating properties. Extension jambs are available in unfinished or prefinished Pine, Oak, other wood species or in White. Units are carefully assembled, hardware is applied, glass is set in... sash are installed into frames, then units are prepared for shipping.  Latitude Series
products have dual-insulating glass units with LoE²-270 coating, argon gas, and Thermo-Edge spacers as standard. This helps them to meet or exceed current ENERGY STAR® guidelines for energy efficiency in all climate zones.
However, energy requirements are becoming more stringent, with lower U-values and solar heat gain coefficients necessary to be eligible for federal tax credits. That's why we've added the options of ThermaPlus LoE²-270 and ThermaPlus LoE³-366, which augment the LoE options with ThermaPlus LoE hardcoat and extra coating on a dual-insulating glass unit's interior surface.
Many other glass options are available as well, such as LoE²-240 for solar control in southern areas, LoE³-366, patterned, obscure glass for privacy or decorative glass for an artistic touch.
Tempered glass is standard on doors for safety and may be requested for windows as well. Laminated glass is available for additional safety. Impact glass is available for extra protection and safety in severe weather areas. Learn more about Glass types.
Plus, Kolbe offers the option of protective film on glass, to help reduce the potential for damage and ease cleanup after installation on the jobsite.

Latitude Series
windows and doors are available in a white and beige integral color. This means they'll never need refinishing. Or, to complement the color scheme of your home, they may be color-coated on the exterior with a polyurethane finish in one of many beautiful colors.

Trim can make a real design statement and provide the finishing touch. Therefore, we offer many possibilities on Latitude Series windows and doors. Accessory grooves around interior and exterior perimeter of the extruded frames allow the addition of many beautiful and convenient accessories.
